Bills your payers settle at their own bank
Every bill from BranaPay carries one reference. Payers give it in their bank's app, by USSD or at the branch; the bank looks the bill up, takes the payment into your account and confirms it to BranaPay at once.

What you get
One reference for every bank
A 13-digit number that works the same at CBE, Awash and Anbesa, short enough to read out over the phone or type on any keypad.
No typos reach your books
A check digit catches a mistyped or swapped digit before the bank looks anything up, so the teller corrects it on the spot.
Straight into your account
The bank credits your organization's own account and checks it against your name. BranaPay never holds your money.
Paid once, confirmed once
Each bill takes one payment. A retry from the bank is recognized, so nobody is charged twice.
Matched and receipted
The payment lands on the right member, pledge or order the moment the bank confirms it, and the payer gets a receipt.
Reconciliation with each bank
Bank payments, settlement files and a reconciliation view show what each bank confirmed and paid, day by day.
How it works
Issue the bill from a payment link or any BranaPay module
The payer gives the reference at their bank, in the app, by USSD or at a branch
The bank confirms; the bill is marked paid and receipted
Who it's for
Organizations whose payers prefer to pay at the bank: schools, associations, clubs and religious organizations.
Questions
Which banks can my payers use?
Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Awash Bank and Anbesa Bank, with more banks being added. Your organization needs an account at each bank you collect through.
Does each organization register with the bank?
No. BranaPay is the biller at each bank. Once your bank channel is approved and your account verified, your bills are payable.
Ready to collect every payment in one place?
Tell us what you collect and from whom. We'll show you BranaPay set up for your organization.
